I’m starting some early research for a multi-family cruise. Some have 1, 2, or 3 children. Does anyone know if all sofas on Carnival ship convert into a bed? Some of the no kid couples and one grand parent are going to share their cabins. I’m trying to have all cabins in a row providing we can get 3 per cabin.

Or will we scatted over the ship in order to accommodate 3 per room?

Thanks
Kevin

Go to carnival.com, select fun ships and then deck plans. Choose a deck, look at a cabin and then the legend with symbols for what the cabin can sleep. Most cabins sleep only 2 in which the sofa does not convert to a bed. Others have a sofa that converts to a bed and some have a fold-down bed above the sofa. And some ships have roll-away beds. But bear in mind with the roll-away there is little floor space left. Look at the upper deck on the Miracle class ships. All the way forward. They have two balcony cabins with adjoining interior cabins.

Hope this helps.

Not all sofas convert. It depends on how strong the sofas are in their beliefs (HA HA).

Seriously, not all sofas convert into beds. We had two suites on the Pride. Neither sofa in either suite could convert into a bed. As a result, you are limited in how many you can book into the cabin. In our case we had five people. We had to book a three person suite (the bed came down from the ceiling) and a two person suite. However, the sleeping arrangements were four and one. The two brothers (then four and six) wanted to sleep together, so they shared a bed.

If you are dealing wth small children, they might be able to sleep on the sofa, even if it does not convert into a bed. Also, you will have to see if the ship has several cabins in a row that sleep three. It might. Even if it does not, you can still all be close to each other. Perhaps a few cabins apart, but not all over the ship.

Some cabins also only have an upper bed---meaning a bed that folds out of the wall.

I agree witht he above poster--- to accomadate 3 peopl ein a cabin you wont all be in a row. unless 3 cabins...the middle cabin holds 2 people. SInce you all want to be together do not let the agent talk you into a guarantee.

going to carnival website.. you want to click onfuns ships-- then click on the ship you are interested in sailing.. then click on deck plans-- click on a deck.. then look for the STATEROOM SYMBOL LEGEND
a square will accomadate 4 people (one on a convertible sofa bed and the other on the upper ebd-- two twin on the floor can be put together or kept apart. ) you then look for any cabin with a square in it.
a star cabin holds three people with two tiwn beds and a convertible sofa./

a small dot represents an upper bed instead of a sofa bed.

only cat 6E have a double convertible sofa bed which folds out and sleeps two people
