Hi! Just new to this site. And as the cruisefreak I am this is just perfect! The best site ever :D although I never yet been on a real cruise ship :( I live in Sweden and have been going with Viking, Silja & Birka line like 1000 times. But its not much to the world. Anyone else been on a cruise onboard thoose? Anyway, the main question this time is

Many years back there were a documentary about the life on a cruise ship. You got to follow people working there. It was Celebirty Cruises M/S Galaxy. Please do anyone know if the documentary is anywhere to be found? Downloadable,by ordering, or just any site about this documentary? I really miss it, and would like to have a copy of my own :)

By the way, are leaving for a short trip to Tallinn with M/S Romantica (Tallink) 7th of Feb.. Anyone intrssted in pic from this "wonderfull ship" :p Guess not?

See you all around!

First Welcome to our site. We have several other Northern Europe residents here on board and I'm sure that one or all of them have been on those ships you mention. Since you posted I looked up the M/S Romantika. Nice looking ferry looks similar to one that we will be getting from Europe to sail our West Coast on our NOrthern Routes here in BC. It was called the M/V Sonia, but it was built in Greece. (fingers crossed)

We all love seeing pictures of ships/boats/ and just places from around the globe.

As far as the Galaxy video goes I personally have no knowledge of it...but there are several other X sailers that have far greater knowledge than I around so maybe you will get lucky.

Have a look around our complete site. Over on the community board we get talking about almost anything so I would suggest you have a look there.

Check the good Morning posts from your neighbours across the water there in Helsinki.

Enjoy.

I think you are talking about a TV-serie made by BBC (The British TV co.) which was filmed on board Century a few years ago and was broadcasted in various countries in Europe.
It gave an impression how an english singer did her job on board, also about the people working in the casino etc.
This was done during a few weeks, with shots of the ports the ship was in, passengers etc.
It was a nice serie.
(Much better then the one about easy-cruise).

Hi Sweden,

We sailed on the Silja Symphony from Stockholm to Helsinki a few years ago. We were very impressed with that ship, and loved indoor promanade, which they had long before the RCI Voyager class had them. I remember sitting at the bar in the forward lounge and watching the progress of the ship as it sailed past all those islands. That is a beautiful sight. Loved the smorgasbord, and all the sea food selections.

We sailed from Helsinki to St Petersburg on the Russian cruise ship, and later from Helsinki to Gdansk on a Polferries ship. We really enjoyed sailing the Baltic seas aboard the ferries.
