Does it rain EVERY DAY in St. Thomas?

Ok, for the last week or so, I've been checking the 10 day forecast for St. Thomas. Every day, it says it's gonna be raining through at least next Tuesday, with thunderstorms on Thursday. Then, the next day I'll check, and the current weather says it's clear. This has been going on for several days....where it says the day before it's supposed to be raining, but the next day it NEVER IS! I'm not complaining....the snorkeling might not be the best if it's raining! :)

Is St. Thomas one of those places (like some of the Hawaiian Islands, for example) where it rains every day for 20 minutes but is clear the rest of the time?

Last year I did the same thing with the same results our day in St.Thomas was sunny and 92 with a 15 minute rain. I will be there next week on Tuesday and hope it will be the same.

I've only been to St. Thomas 4 times, but all 4 days it rained for about 20-30 minutes each afternoon. We do all of our crusing in the winter months so I always figured it was something about Jan.-April in the Caribbean.

I have also been to St. Thomas for a week on 2 different vacations and had about 20 minute lagoon showers almost everyday both times. We actually enjoyed and looked forward to them. Most of the time the sun is still shining brightly and everything just looks and smells clean and fresh. They do not seem to affect the snorkeling at all. We never even left the water and wouldn't know it was raining below the surface.

It was pouring when we arrived in St. Thomas in March. I was so concerned that it wouldn't stop. It finally became a light rain around 11 (by the time we FINALLY cleared immigrations) and we left the ship and took a cab to go where you take the boat to St. John. When the sun came out, it became so hot, I wish the light rain was back.

I've been there only in February and June and it never rained. Guess I was lucky or it just wasn't the rainy season.

When we were there a couple years ago in February the taxi driver told us it rains almost every day in St Thomas and St John. Most of the time it's just misty and not heavy rain though. He said that is what keeps the vegetation growing and bueatiful there.

Well.......I have to say, despite the weather predictions, it was GORGEOUS IN St. Thomas. Not one drop of rain, and a beautiful, sunny day. We had a wonderful time.
