Hello all.
I would like to take the children swimming with Dolphins, i have found two excursions on our Christmas itinerary (RC Voyager) the Dolphin discovery swims at Philipsburg St Maarten and St Johns Antigua. have any of you been on these and if so which should i choose. HELP PLEASE. Or is there a better option on one of the other Islands? we will be stopping at Labadi, San Juan, Charlotte Amalie, Saint Johns, Philipsburg and Freeport City.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give us.

Whn looking for swimming with the Dolphin excursions make sure you know what you are getting. Some people book these to findout they are only encounters. Send emails to the companies and asking what is involved. Good swims should cost like 100pp You want to be able to get into the water with the dolphins and actually swim with them. You dont want to just watch.

Has anyone ever seen dolphins swimming alongside the ship? My neighbor said when he went to the Bahamas they saw them frequently. On our first cruise--not one dolphin in sight althought hurricane jeanne was nearby.

From what I have read in the papers here lately, the Doplhins from Antigua have been relocated due to some enviromental problems. The Dolphin Swim in Philipsburg actuallt takes you to Anguilla, which is an island about ten miles north of St. Maarten. For info you can contact them through saint-martin-activities.com

You see the best Dolphin action when the ship is going into port...early in the am I have heard. Michael has seen them on the waay into Cozumel. On our last trip, leaving out of Tampa...we had dolphins in the bay, playing in the ships wake! it was a great treat!
