We'll be on the Desitiny over Christmas...one of the ports is Dominica, any suggestions as to what to do? We are open to anything - water or land!
Thanks
In 2001 we did Domenica on the Ocean Princess ..we did the waterfall trek and island tour..it was fabulous..lush, tropical, tons of fruit trees, hummingbirds all over the place =love and warm rain came down.and a incredible overlook of the port and ships for some picture postcard quality ship photos of our ship!!..:thumb...we really enjoyed this lovely Island..have a great time!!....Joanne
Agree with Cruise Cutie - Dominica is a beautiful island, well worth a tour. There are drivers at the dock who will take you for the tour for less than the ship excursions cost. Negotiate the price before getting in and for 3-4 people it's well worth every cent.
I can tell you what not to do -- any whale / dolphin watch tour. We paid a lot of money & saw the same dolphins we could see for free from the ship. Get up early & be on deck as you cruise into port in the morning. We saw no whales. :-(
I understand from friends that the falls are spectacular. Also, if the activity is listed as strenuous, they mean it!!
