Get up early & watch the dolphin's play in the ship's wake as you approach the island. These are the same animals you'll see for $85 pp on the whale & dolphin tour.

Except for tours where you don't get out of the bus, most of the activities require more exertion than is described in the brochure. Plan carefully.

We saw beautiful rainbows as we were leaving.

Just got back from Dominican Republic on the Paradise. We booked an excursion through the ship to Catalina Island and it was beautiful. It took about 30-40 minutes to get there by catamaran, which was an experience in itself. Great time, everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.

( The Dominican Republic and Dominica are two different islands entirely )

Slim, Dominica is a very beautiful island. Lush, green and unspoiled. It's not overly developed as are so many of the islands. If you like nature then you will love Dominica.
There is a large population of Caribe Indians who make beautiful baskets, carvings, etc. You can take a tour back into the interior through the mountains and through the Caribe reservation. Get out and see some of the island and it's people.
Here is the official website for Dominica.

Check it out. It might help.

Dominica is just beautiful. We hired a fellow to drive us around to the sights, gardens and waterfalls. You will love the lushness and the beautiful plants and flowers growing all around in the gardens.
