Departing for a 4 day cruise to the bahamas end of May. I understand there is 1 formal night, can I substitute formal wear with neat n casual. Will I be able to dine in the dining room if not dressed formal.

Thanks

If you look nice you are not going to get kicked out of the restaurant simply because you don't have a tux on.

Hi! On my first cruise last year on Royal Caribbean, I worried about the same thing! I wore a nice pair of (black) slacks that I got on sale after Christmas and a nice sparkly shirt off the after Christmas sale rack! My boyfriend wore dress slacks, a long sleeved shirt, tie (only one night) and a jacket.....we had two formal nights. As long as you are dressed decent, you will be fine. Some people go overboard formal - gowns, tux, the whole nine yards!!! Be comfortable, just dress up a little. Enjoy!

On our last cruise we saw everything from really formal to shirt and jeans. The jeans were pushing it a little, but I'm sure you will be ok with nice dressy clothes. I think we will do that next time too, as our formal attire (suits) for the two of us and 3 teenagers too up a whole large suitcase. But one thing for sure our boys (though not normally) enjoyed dressing up. I didn't even had to nag at all.
I'm sure you will enjoy the evening no matter how you are dressed.

You'll see everyone dressed from fancy to not so fancy. Just have fun - we always have fun dressing up!
