The drink of the day on Princess is a featured drink at a special "price that day".and announced via the bartenders and in the daily "Princess Patter newspaper,...and they also in rotating bars on the ship have the occasional 2 for 1 specials...But to my knowledge......there are NO drink packages available either by coupon or sticker...to buy wine packages you can pre-order on line..but NO drink packages, stickers,or coupons seen by me in 10 years of Princess cruising. The only sticker is a soda sticker purchase for fountain soda drinks only,...soda in cans are not included in the soda sticker offer...sorry..=shrug.. Happy cruising..:)..Joanne

The way this worked on our May 22 sailing was as follows:

You can get the drink of the day at the "special" price if you first pay a little more to buy one in a souvenir cup. Rather than have to carry the cup around all week, they put a sticker on your S&S card. You flash the card, they see you've bought the souvenir cup, and you get the Drink of the Day at the special price (in a regular non-souvenir cup).

Here's what the Patters says:

"Purchase a Princess Cruises Souvenir Hurricane Cup and participate in our reduced price Cocktail or Mocktail of the day program. Simply present your glass or sticker daily at any bar and you can have a refill of our daily Hurricane special Cocktail of the day for only $3.25 or Mocktail of the Day for only $2.00"

I'm not sure, but I believe the regular cocktail price was $3.95. They also had different sizes.

It is apparent that they want to make the special contingent on the purchase of a souvenir cup. Whether you could get the drink price without buying the cup, I don't know. I do know that the beer special was advertised as being only during certian hours, but they seemed to sell it anytime.

This was on the Caribbean Princess May 22-29

If one prefers her own hand-mixed sour apple martini's to 'the drink of the day' is it permissible to bring one's own ingredients? Or is that seriously frowned upon??

I believe this does not apply to the Martini of the day (which comes with a special glass).
