Drinks on the Star

Hi there, we're sailing the Star on Dec. 19 and I was wondering if someone could tell me if there are drink cards for soft drinks and what they include, how much they cost, etc. Also, I know the price of alcoholic beverages on different ships/lines is widely debated, but has someone been on the Star who could tell me what the general price range is for alcoholic drinks? I want to attempt to have an idea what I might spend, although I know your onboard account always ends up being more than what you plan!

Hi. I am just back. They do have a drink card but with two kids we opted out I think that it was around 25-30 though. They also had an option for the fancy drinks as well on a card for the kids but it was really pricey. We spent about what you would expect for alcohol.. They do not allow carry on and so the bars are it. We had a hard time finding a good martini! Ended up with changing it up all week. Have fun!

Do you remember how much an individual soda/iced tea is? My fiance and I drink quite a bit (I am referring to non-alcoholic...) and it would probably be worth it for us, but it would help to know what an individual coke costs, for example. Thanks! Thanks for the review, too...it is always nice to read those when you're preparing for a cruise!
