Just came back from Enchantment last week and we had a stop in Ocho Rios. Please, if you are going to Dunns Falls, MAKE SURE you bring or rent or buy there - water shoes. You will definately need them. Sneakers and flip-flops will not do the trick! The rocks are very slippery and you need the traction these shoes provide. I saw alot of people going in with just flip-flops and I felt bad for them because you really have to climb and those rocks were slippery. Even in some places, I slipped with the water shoes.

Dunns Falls was excellent. Don't miss this! It was a little more treacherous than I thought it would be, but I'm glad I didn't miss it.

Just make sure you have the water shoes! :thumb

We went last week on the Navigator! Our particular guide would not let you go without aquasox. A bunch of people rented and bought them there.

I agree with you it was more treacherous than I would have thought. Someone broke their leg there that day. Wouldn't find a tourist trap of that nature in the States. Too much liability.

Still, it was a really fun time. We bought the DVD which is kind of hokey, but it showed us a lot on there and was worth it for the ability to show people at home what it was like.

We loved it , it was the highlight of our Jamaican stop! We thought it was funa nd lots of laughs, but we were surprised that someof the people we saw climbing it were even allowed. If you are not at all fit, if you are elderly, or if you are VERY overwieght I would think twice before doing it, there are slippery parts and some parts you need a " hand up" pull form whoever is in front of you.I really is climbing up a waterfall, so use some common sense before deciding if you can do it. By the way I think most kids over the age of 7 or 8 would have no problems as they are usaully so fit and agile!

I am going to Jamaica with my 19 and 15 sons. I am unable to climb the falls due to a industrial accident but is there a place that I safely photo the boys as they climb the falls. We have seen a trip thru princess that includes and boat ride to the falls does anyone know if it is worth it.

Our parents took the boat ride, but they didn't have a good time because it was pouring down rain and the seas were rough for them. So they are probably not the norm.

There is a walkway that runs along the side of the falls where you could watch them and take pictures.
