I know this is a silly question and you are wondering why I want to watch DVD's on a cruise, but does anyone know if you can bring a DVD player and hook it up to their stateroom tv's on the Century?
Any information would be appreciate.
Thanks!

Not a dumb question! Hubby is a video freak, and he brought a DVD player on the Monarch, and hooked it up. it was nice to relax, kick back at night, after running around all day in port, put the feet up, have a glass of wine and watch a comedy, something of my daughter's that we had never seen before! Sometimes you just have to give in and rest!

Don't know about the Century, hoping we can on the Infinity!

Thank you for your response! I'm glad there are other video freaks out there. It is so nice to watch a movie and relax after a port day. Plus the cruise I'm going on is 9 days so I'm sure we are going to have some down time on the cruise.
I'm brining my DVD player anyways and hope for the best!

Thanks again!

I'm not that much of a video freak, hubby and daughter are big time. But I do enjoy kicking back, and seeing something funny that I don't have to concentrate too hard on. I do want to do some more things on the ship in the evening this next cruise, so we did get an early seating. Yeah, that means we'll have to be back earlier, but our 8pm dinner on the Monarch was way too late! And then after a late dinner, and getting back to the cabin at 10, well, we were just plain pooped! We'll try an early seating this time, and see how that works.

But if they have DVD's out of the first season of Desperate Housewives, heck, I'll settle down every night for one of those!

Princess Sophia-
You might want to take along an RF converter, because the ship's TVs may not have an S-video or RCA-type inputs--may only have the regular cable input. Unless your DVD player has regular cable outputs you could be out of luck. On a related topic, I saw a small-sized DVD player at WalMart this weekend for $38. Amazing how cheap they have become!
