My friend just returned from the 3/22 cruise on the Golden and had E728. They loved the extra large balcony. But, she said there was quite a bit of "noise-bleed" from the Vista Lounge below. It didn't really bother her much, as she was not in the room most of the time the shows were going on. However, on the last night, the passenger talent show takes place late (I think 10:30 or 11pm) in the Vista Lounge, so it was tough getting to sleep. On another note, we have sailed the Grand twice before and there was never a problem with children running rampant. On this cruise on the Golden, apparently it was spring break week for young children in some parts of the US and the ship was filled with children. They were running down the hallways and knocking on people's doors and running away. In fact, my friend heard that at least one of the children did something bad enough (stealing or something) for the cruise ship to make the family disembark at a port along the way. Someone else had mentioned that they don't think Princess is monitoring the number of children on board as well as they used to. Or perhaps they allow a larger number of children on the ship during peak periods.Pea
