I have read some post on this board and throughout the web about early checkin from L.A. and a queen mary tour ($6.00)for my ecstasy cruise. i was just wondering if anybody has done this and how it worked for them. and if this is true do i still have to drag my bags with me on the tour or is their a place to drop off early checked luggage as well. sail in18 days and just trying to plan somethings ahead of time.
thanks.

Just went on the Elation, but the check in is the same for both ships! We got there just before 9:00. Mario and Ryan got out with the luggage and I went and parked the car. When I got back, they had already handed our luggage over to a porter so we headed into the check in area. There was nobody else there, but the computers were down so we had to wait a bit. They got them back up and started checking us in about 9:20 and by then there were a whopping 5 families waiting in line (we were first!) We were done in less than 10 minutes MAX and headed to my mom's house to drop off our car. We took my mom and stepdad out to a champayne brunch and they dropped us at the ship at 12:00. We got in a very short line to scan our carry ons, walked on board, checked out our cabin and were on deck sipping "Foo Foo" drinks by 12:30!

I'd say it worked out pretty well! Have a great trip!
