Going on the Glory 18 Oct and wanted some info on shore tours in Nassau, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Does anyone have any great recommendations or on the other end, does anyone have any really bad experiences about tours we should stay away from?
I heard that Godfrey tours in St. Thomas is great, Orient Beach in St. Maarten is something to experience. Any comments would be welcome.

nassau....if you're interested in swimming with dolphins, it was wonderful at blue lagoon. if you book an "encounter" through cruise ship, you can stand on pier in water and touch dolphins. the only way to book an actual "swim" in the water with the dolphins is through shoretours.com. also, if you book the swim, you must get to the appropriate pier on your own -- we took a cab there $4 each, and a ferry back $3 each. expensive, but unforgettable. take lots of pictures and video.
only drawback....we didn't have much time to spend at the straw market.

st. thomas....we rented snorkeling gear and hired a taxi to drive us from beach to beach. really nice. however, boat docks near many souvenier shops or you can take a cab to the market just a few minutes away for more interesting shopping. again, never enough time for shopping.

have fun!

In St Thomas we shopped @ the pier and then took a cab downtown to do some more shopping. We then went back to the ship for lunch, and then caught a cab to Magen's Bay beach for a few hours. It was great, but as it was a bay, there was no surf...which I like! Picture perfect though...never seen a more beautiful place...yet

In Nassau we walked around town for a bit, but it was a holiday so most stores were closed, so we took a water taxi to Paradise Island, and walked around the free parts of the Atlantis for a bit, before going to a nearby beach...it was FANTASTIC! One of the nicest beaches I've ever been to. Great surf & crystal clear blue water and powder white sand.

In St Maarten we took a water taxi over to Phillipsburg and walked around.

On my family's next cruise, it is Southern Caribbean, but it stops in St Thomas & St Maarten again. In St Thomas I plan to do the water island bike tour through the ship, or take a cab to Sapphire Beach. In St Maarten we plan to take a cab to Marigot (the French capital) and then go to Dawn Beach, on the Dutch/French border.
