We are cruising to the Eastern Caribbean over this Christmas, on HAL's Zaandam, to St. Maarten, Tortola and HAL's island. WE love to cruise but only some of us enjoy the water sports/beaches. We usually go for the siteseeing and historical matters (i.e., Western Caribbean Mayan ruins, etc). What is recommended on St. Marteen and Tortola in this regard. My son and I will get our beach and water stuff on the private island.
