Eastern Carribean on the Carnival Liberty

I hope some of you can help me. I have a good friend wanting to book asap on the Carnival Liberty, Eastern Carribean. Her 25 yr. old daughter is traveling with a birth certificate/drivers license. My friend was wondering if the various ports require you to show a passport or birth certificate leaving the ship or getting back on board? I've only cruised to Mexico and I had to just show my sail and sign and my drivers license.

Thanks for the help,

Certified birth certificate and state issued photo ID will be just fine for this cruise.

Understand that you can cruise with birth certificate and driver's license you can not travel in or out of the US by any other method with those documents. A Passport is required for air travel or crossing a US boarder by land.

Just wanted to add that when I say passports are required for air travel, I should have specified International air travel and not domestic.

Do you think there will be no problem getting back on the ship from the various islands? Does the government authorities ask for a passport to re-board?

To reboard the ship all you need is a government issued picture ID (such as a driver's license) and your room key. Children under the age of sixteen don't need a government issued ID.
