I'm sorry, I probaby have a very obvious question but I would just like some clarification. We're going on Carnival Triumph 10/19/05 headed to the Bahamas, is that considered Eastern Caribbean? Thanks for your help. Also, what excursions would any of you recommend for first time cruisers?

I think you better double check your calendar. The Triumph leaves Norfolk on 10/9 and Charleston on 10/18. If you get to the dock on 10/19 all you are going to find is water.

At any rate, neither cruise goes into the Caribbean. You are going to be in the Bahamas, which is in the Atlantic, not the Caribbean.

And if Bahamas isn't in the Caribbean then why is Nassau listed as a stop on the Eastern Caribbean itineraries?

I have to stop in Atlanta on my way to South Carolina, but Atlanta is not in South Carolina. The point is, if it is on the way and they stop there, that is great. However, the Bahamas are in the Atlantic, not the Caribbean.
