I sailed on her in January with a group of 7.  It was for our annual "girlie trip".  We are all in our late 20's-early 30's.

She is definitely showing her age, but for the price you get a good weekend vacation.  The carpets are stained and you'll think of Vegas from the minute you walk onboard.  The rooms on all Carnival ships look exactly the same.....our room on the Esctacy was very similar to the room we just had on the Triumph.  I don't know why they do all the rooms in pink, but they do.

We had great service both from the dining room staff and the bar staff.  They have the same food items that are offered on other Carnival ships.  Matter of fact, I just returned from the Triumph and was able to get this wonderful mushroom appetizer that I had on the Ecstacy.  The food on Carnival is not the best food out there, but as far as I'm concerned, there is no bad food on a cruise.  The 24 hour pizza is usually hot and fresh.  The buffets are typical and will tide you over.

Our toilet leaked the entire weekend and we tried to get maintenance in there, but since there was ultimately nothing we could do about it, we got a few good laughs out of it.  I tend to try to make the best out of everything....for a weekend cruise under $300.00, I didn't expect much.

If you're going on the 3-day, be prepared for LOTS of college kids and maybe a bachelor party or two.  They get loud and wild, but they didn't keep us up at night like the group of 35 completely out of control college aged kids who were just on the Triumph.

I'd say all in all, it's a fun time.  I may even take my boyfriend on her again in December if the price is right.  She's not my favorite ship, but I would sail her again for the convenience of sailing out of LA rather than trying to get all the way to Florida.

If you have any more questions, email me and I'll be happy to answer them if I can.
