I believe the Elation is in dry dock now or has just come out....does anyone know what updating it received if any? We're cruising on her May 24th and am hoping they have the new waterworks and serenity area for adults.

It depends on how long the dry dock is. To do everything seems to take three weeks. I would be interested in an Elation cruise if it gets the entire package (or when it does). If the dry dock is only two weeks, then it will not get everything. Some parts will be added at a later date. As of today, the Elation is not listed as being upgraded on Carnival's website ...

Nope, I didn't catch the typo.....

Too bad they didn't keep the Elation and Paradise in long enough to do all the updates. I did read somewhere that Carnival has now added a 4 or 5 day cruise down into Cabo from San Diego. Unfortunately, that itinerary isn't being offered until the beginning of July. However, I do wonder, if the drug war problem gets worse and moves down into the Ensenada area, could we get lucky and get diverted to Cabo......Do you think there is any chance of that happening? We don't cruise until May 24th. With everything that is going on, I'd feel safer in Cabo. In my opinion, Cabo is much nicer and two days there would be fantastic!!! ;)

There is zero chance of getting diverted to Cabo on the three day, since that requires four days. It could happen on a four day, but I would suspect that a cruise to nowhere is more likely than a diversion all the way to Cabo.

We're on a 4 day (Sunday - Thursday 7am), so I'll keep my fingers, toes, legs, arms....whatever crossed for a change of itinerary to Cabo :)
