Somedays are highs and somedays are low
Today was HIGH

It started out this morning with my husband finding his way easily to Children’s Hospital. This was his third trip and finally got there with little effort. Now my turn will be in two weeks to drive this trip alone. I am more nervous about that than the transplant. God I hate city driving. So knowing they were safe, our day started out at work. We have been waiting for quite some time to find out if we are keeping our jobs. Well, most of us are, including me. What a relief for me. I could not imagine being unemployed at this time of our life. I do feel real bad for the girls that will be leaving. I hope and pray for the best for them and that they come out on the other end better than they left. So later this afternoon, it was confirmed. Elliott will be getting his transplant!!!! He will be getting it from a 27 year old FEMALE. I guess they changed donors on us as she is available and has better qualifications. He goes in on Sunday the 11th, which just happens to be his doctor of the last five years birthday and the transplant is scheduled for the 20th.PLEASE KEEP HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS, EACH AND EVERY NIGHT. I will end todays entry with this news as nothing can top it until he is home safe and sound and healthy

I posted on E's journal on CaringBridge, but I feel too happy to restrict it to one posting! Great news, you guys should be dancing on air. It's going to be a long bridge to cross, but E is on his way!

Please be assured of our prayers. My cousin had his transplant about 15 years ago -- and his donor was changed shortly prior to the surgery, too. I just circled the days on my calendar, but please know our thoughts are with you always.

GOOD NEWS Cindy.:thumb :thumb Of course, prayers will be sent every day for E and you and Dan also. And a special prayer to that young woman who is another person carrying Elliott over the bridge to RECOVERY. :)

This is such great news. We are all so happy for him and you. Yes, of course, the prayers are up and running. Will be non-stop until Elliott is home safe, sound, and healed.

Next big goal will be the "Elliot's Victory Cruise". I think there will be a lot of C@'s who will be thrilled to join you guys on that one!
