If it's one of the cabins at the bow (E202-E208) you probably will not be happy with it. I pasted below from a post I wrote a while ago... someone asked the same question. The people walking by are below, but transition up as they go up the stairs. These cabins are often upgrades because people don't usually book them.
----------------------
They are nice cabins with a big balcony... but the problem with these cabins is that the balcony is fully covered and doesn't look down over the ocean, as it is fairly far inboard from the side of the ship. The balcony sits out along the little section of the promenade where it transitions up from the Promenade deck. What this results in is a pretty significant lack of privacy as people walk up the little set of stairs headed for the front of the Emerald deck where the promenade circles the bow. They are VERY close... people could shake hands with you over the balcony rail as they walk by. I've never stayed in one, but every time I sail on the Grand I make a mental note not to, as I personally would not enjoy that interaction. It depends on what you like though, I always notice that the people in those cabins are often chatting with the pedestrians... so if you like that you may enjoy it, but if you don't you may want to verify what I've stated here and possibly rearrange the upgrade so as not to ruin your vacation.
