Currently on Emerald Princess cruise transit 0through the Panama Canal.
We just were notified that our last port of call in the Grand Caymans is cancelled due to rough seas. This is fine with me. This cruise has been underwhelming to say the least. No production shows. Very few other acts as well. At 11:00 pm the ship is deserted. A positive note, the staff are very polite and attentive.
The main problem I have is with the food. All of the specialty restaurants are average, the MDR is repetitive and the buffet is abysmal. I have cruised with four other cruise lines and have always found something that is to my taste. It's so bad that I can't wait to get into Fort Lauderdale for any fast food. Princess can't get hamburgers and pizza to taste palatable.
If you want to lose weight and vacation in a semi-retirement home then Princess Cruise lines are for you.
