Does anyone know where on the RCI website it gives intructions for emergency contact while on board. I need to give my parents this information (both my parents are in ill health so if something happens, I need to be reached). I've looked all over the website and can't find it. Thanks!

Your friends and family can contact the ship by calling (888) 724-SHIP. Or from outside the U.S. they can call (732) 335-3285. The cost is $7.95 USD a minute and can be charged to their American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover® or Diners Club®. From outside the U.S. additional long distance charges will also apply.

They definetly need the ship name cuz the recording asks you to push a number corresponding with the ship..............having the cabin number would be a big help too............

They can also contact their local Red Cross, as long as they have the ship name they will contact them at a quarter of the price if there is an actual emergency. Have a great cruise, I'm sure you won't need this info but always better safe than sorry. We just learned of the Red Cross route before leaving on the Emerald last month.

Thing about the Red Cross(which I didnt know about either),it would be a third party...........I know I rather have my family member talk to me directly....I wouldnt worry about the cost in a case like that...

PH8, you may be correct. I don't know for sure. I was led to believe that they would contact the ship who would contact "you" and you would be able to talk directly in an actual emergency.
