I had a cabin adjacent to the elevators, one cabin down, and heard nothing at all except occasional talking from passengers. I also had a cabin that was next door to elevators, and still no noise from the elevator itself. I was pleasantly surprised. I've had cabins on Main, Upper, and Empress, and noticed no more noise on Empress than the others, even though my cabin was directly under the main showroom.
