Ensenada excursion....beware!!

For those of you who book excursions other than thru the cruise line. When going to Ensenada, beware of a vendor named "Sal", he operates a company called BAJABLUEDIVER. Someone who'd booked a scuba/diving excursion with him just when the Mexico ports were cancelled lost her deposit. He isn't returning email, phone calls, or any correspondence. This lady is out her deposit. It's a good idea to check the policy of private excursion companies prior to booking with them. I hate to think about how many people lost money on diverted excursions.

While booking with the cruise line can be more expensive, it also offers some extra protection. You can view the extra cost as insurance. What you save in booking privately is the work involved in thoroughly checking out the vendor. Too many people just look at the savings and don't do their homework. For most, things work out. For some, problems arise, and then they find out that there is nothing they can do about it. I have taken several ship excursions and some private ones. I don't find the private ones that much better. When in a foreign country, it is buyer beware.

Just wanted to give an update. After complaining enough, the lady was able to get a full refund from this vendor. However, the letter he included with the refund said that he did not believe she was entitled to a full refund, he was giving it to her out of the goodness of his heart I guess.
