Euros

We are taking a Meditteranean cruise and I was wondering whether you can get Euros on your shipboard account on the Millennium. I am aware that they will dispense US dollars and thought it might be the same process.

Thanks.

imo your best bet is to take cash out of atms in europe---they will give you euros and they have a better exchange rate then a bank or money changer --there is a nominal fee for this service ---maybe this currency converter site will be of some help

Definitely, and I mean DEFINITELY get your Euros from an ATM..perhaps at the airport when you arrive. The only "fee" you'll pay (if using your debit/checking account card/whatever) is one that might be assessed by your home financial institution for using a machine that is not in thier network.

You will get a better exchange rate than if you change money on the ship, etc.

I've done this many times on trips to Europe and it beats T-checks, etc., for convenience, etc

in addition --do not take a cash advance you will pay interest on that---make sure you take your cash from the cash available amount in your checking account-- i had a small problem a few years back that i eventually got resolved but i would reccommend that you take a different amount from the atm everytime you go --it will be easier to reconcile your statement that way and make sure you keep the receipts of the monies taken as to help with the reconcilliation
