Sis and I are doing the 9 day out of Norfolk on the Enchantment with stops in St. Thomas, Labadee, San Juan, and Samana, Dominican Republic. Any advice on what not to miss? Sis really enjoys snorkeling, and I like it alright. Of these stops, what is the best for that? I have been to Labadee several times.....always just walk around....do we need to do anything else there? Any help would be appreciated!!

All will have snorkling excursions. I believe you should have a sea day or two on your way down. I'd ask the shore excursions desk which one of the ports have the best. They're very knowledgeable in giving advice - and they get feedback from other guests, so that is how I would make my choice.

I am not sure if you are on the cruise leaving the 6th or the 20th, but if you are not leaving tomorrow here are the excursion my group is doing. We will be on the cruise leaving the 20th.

In Puerto Rico we are doing the ziplines in the Rain Forest. It seems like this will be a very fun exciting way to start our day on the islands.

We will be doing our shopping in St. Thomas, but there is a lot of really great excursions here. Anything ranging from a simple snorkel trip, to skorkeling with sea turtles, snuba (mix of snorkel and scuba), helmet dives, and even intro scuba classes.

In the Dominican Republic we are going to the El Limon Waterfall. It is suposted to be beautiful. I have not heard many other good things about this island so that is all we will be doing here.

In Haiti we are going to do the Rum Party on the Sand Bar. It sounds very fun and the included drinks doesnt hurt :)

If you cruised on the 6th I would love to hear how it was so I can know what to expect!! I would greatly appreciate it. :)

St Thomas - is "the Wal-Mart of the Caribbean" ... so, your choice here is shopping.

Labadee - Fly the Dragon's Breath.

San Juan - Because of its overpopulation, the waters around San Juan aren't the most ideal for snorkeling. In fact, the entire north shore of Puerto Rico fronts the Atlantic, where the waters are often turbulent. The best snorkeling on the main island is found near the town of Fajardo, to the east of San Juan and along the tranquil eastern coast.

Santo Domingo - Three dive areas ... Boca Chica, Juan Julio and Ocoa Bay. Lots of wrecks, black coral and the marine life is exceptional, with the possibility of seeing black tip sharks, hammerheads and big rays.
