We are booked on the Norweigian Sun for next Thanksgiving. We are looking for a good excursion. My husband & I have been to San Juan before and did the old & New san Juan tour. This time we will be bringing our 12 year old granddaughter with us. We are trying to find something she would enjoy. But Norweigian doesnt offer but 6 excursions. So I am thinking of booking an excursion out of Norweigian. I have never done this before. Can anyone give me names of a good company to go through to find something good. This will be out 7th cruise.

First of all, you are talking a year from now. Many tours and excursions will proabably be added a few months prior to sailing. That being said, doing your own tours can be fun and save you money. Just make sure they are not going to threaten your returning to the ship on time. We usually figure a private tour is ok if it isn't over about 4 ot 5 hours long, depending on the length of time in port.

The best way to find out about private tours is to go a website for the port and just check "tours or sight seeing, something like that. Sometimes we just wait til we get off the ship.
