Anybody out there know anything about the Carnival itinerary that stops at Belize, Costa Rica, and Panama? I'm planning on taking this trip in March. I've been on seven Carnival cruises but never to any of these ports. My question is this ; Is this a good cruise if you are a beach person? I have not been able to find much info on these stops. When I cruise I basically want a good beach at each stop, and I am not sure if this cruise would provide that. The promos and stuff I've read on it have only talked about it being different, and good for those who like to explore. Will it satify my beach bum ways? Thanks for your help ! :)

I just got back from Belize. We went to Caye Chalker. A 45 minute water taxi ride. 17.50 round trip. Belize city is a little grungy. But, the caye was beautiful! Go to the end where the split is. Nice beach snorkle area. And a bar called the Lazy Lizard. Have a lizard juice.Awsome.Look on line. I find most of our tours on our own. Caye Chalker is not over run with tourist.I plan to fly there next fall to stay a week.

Not the "beachiest" itinerary but I'd think you could find some to your liking. In Belize I would second what Rhen said above about Caye Caulker. Another alternative via water taxi is Ambergue(sp?) Caye but I've heard many good things about Caye Caulker.

Sounds like the Costa Rica stop must be in Limon. I seem to remember ship excursions offered to a beach or beaches south of Limon so that's one option. A second option would be to go to Playa Bonita, a public beach area in the Limon/Moin area that is maybe a 10 minute taxi ride at most. There is a quite nice beach there along with a restaurant/bar located adjacent to the beach itself. You'll find more locals than tourists here but don't let that intimidate you. One person there told me in rough English that this beach is also preferred by surfers at certain times of the year. You can get one peek at this beach by going to:

I wouldn't count on beach time in Panama. Most excursions are directed towards the Canal and other things associated with it. I think you'd need to meet up with an honest taxi driver who could find a beach, otherwise I'd say the chances and risks are pretty long.
