MSC Cruises Has Just Posted the Following:

Travel by sea to encounter the folklore, tradition and richness of Northern Europe: from Copenhagen to Visby, from Riga to Helsinki and up to St. Petersburg. Enjoy the natural beauty of the fjords and the diverse northern European cultures. Alternatively, cruise through the North Sea and then south into the Mediterranean to visit countries that are deeply different yet profoundly evocative.

For summer 2007, MSC Cruises is stationing three ships in northern Europe: MSC Lirica, MSC Opera and MSC Rhapsody. Nine different itineraries with a rich choice of excursions are on offer up to the first week of September 2007.

MSC Lirica offers two alternative itineraries:
Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Latvia, Finland and Russia (8 days/7 nights).
Depart from Kiel for Copenhagen, Visby, Riga, Helsinki and St. Petersburg. Cruise from Kiel on Saturday 14 and 28 July and 11 and 25 August 2007 (also departing Sundays from Copenhagen).

Germany, Denmark and Norway (8 days/7 nights).
Cruise from Kiel and call into Copenhagen, Oslo, Kristiansand, Bergen and Eidfjord. Depart from Kiel on Saturday 21 July and 4 and 18 August 2007 (also departing Sundays from Copenhagen).

On MSC Lirica's return to the Mediterranean there is a third itinerary to Germany, Denmark, England, Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Italy (12 days/11 nights).
Cruise from Kiel and call into Copenhagen, Harwich, La Coruna, Lisbon, Gibraltar, Malaga, Olbia and Genoa. Depart on Saturday 1 September 2007.

Selection of excursions:

Copenhagen
Various tours of the city visiting Nyhavn, Sirenetta, Tivoli Gardens and the Ice Bar.

St. Petersburg
Escorted city tour to marvel at the golden domes, the palaces and Petrodvorets Park, as well as the Hermitage Museum.

Riga
Panoramic excursion including a visit to the Cathedral.
