Is their an excursion in Belize that offers some type scuba training. I am not a certified diver. In Cozumel they offer a discover scuba. I did this last year and it was great. I only wish that I would have payed for another dive while I was their. But the wife was waiting on the ship for me to get back so she could go shopping.

Look at the Padi Website and see if they have one there. If you dont find one let me know. I will contact my brother to see what he used when he went last year.

I am going on this sailing with 9 other family members. Can' wait. I have been on 7 cruises with Carnival but never with Royal Caribbean. Any comparisons to share?

murph,

I have never been on Carnival, so I cant give you any comparisons. However, I have been on Princess and the ship is more lively then that one. You will find the atmosphere to be a little quieter then on Carnival. People do party to 3:00 am but generally no one falls overboard. food is about the same from what I can tell. Depending on cabin selection, insides can be smaller, but if you take an inside, you dont intend on being in it much anyway. the cd on both previous cruises were just OK. Really nothing spectacular. shows are great. Service is excellent. Overall, the people who sail RCL tend to be less rowdy then on Carnival. Thats not to say that Carnival people are any different then those who chose RCL. Its just that the atmosphere of the ship is more subduded then Carnival. The Neon lights on Carnival tend to keep people more active longer. If I had to compare what liitle I know of Carnival with RCCL. I might use 2 Las Vegas hotels. Carnival is New York New York, RCL is MGM. Both big and fun, but different. I look forward to meeting you at the CC meet and mingle. I would love to know what you think of the differences when you board. these class ships are my favorite, so I really want to hear your opinion

Cool. Should be a good trip. I've read up on the Crown and Anchor club that RCL offers which I think is great. That is one thing about Carnival that always bugged me- for the most part they really don't care whether you've been on one or 80 cruises with them. They say they track you with a number but funny they've never been able to locate any of my past info. Thanks again for all of the information.

At least with RCI you will get the Crown and Anchor magazine that offers coupons. We saved 125.00 using it for this trip Have a good weekend

I've got a group of 6 friends from Charlotte, NC going.

Does anyone know if the shore excursions sell out? Should I make my reservations in advance?

How do people from this forum meet up once on the ship?
