murph,
I have never been on Carnival, so I cant give you any comparisons. However, I have been on Princess and the ship is more lively then that one. You will find the atmosphere to be a little quieter then on Carnival. People do party to 3:00 am but generally no one falls overboard. food is about the same from what I can tell. Depending on cabin selection, insides can be smaller, but if you take an inside, you dont intend on being in it much anyway. the cd on both previous cruises were just OK. Really nothing spectacular. shows are great. Service is excellent. Overall, the people who sail RCL tend to be less rowdy then on Carnival. Thats not to say that Carnival people are any different then those who chose RCL. Its just that the atmosphere of the ship is more subduded then Carnival. The Neon lights on Carnival tend to keep people more active longer. If I had to compare what liitle I know of Carnival with RCCL. I might use 2 Las Vegas hotels. Carnival is New York New York, RCL is MGM. Both big and fun, but different. I look forward to meeting you at the CC meet and mingle. I would love to know what you think of the differences when you board. these class ships are my favorite, so I really want to hear your opinion
