Hi everyone,
I know that you should be back having arrived back at Port of Miami yesterday(Sunday Oct. 3). My husband and I were on board of the Explorer of the Seas the previous cruise to the Eastern Caribbean which came back a day late and delayed yours a day due to the hurricane Jeanne. Was supposed to make port at Nassau but could not. Did make the 3 other ports at San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. My husband and I had a wonderful time until on the end. The seas were real rough for a couple of days, was stuck out at sea for 3 days straight. We signed up for snorkling at St. Thomas but it was cancelled due to cloudy waters. So we signed up for snorkling again for Nassau but since we couldn't make that port it was a no go again. After making it back to port on Monday, it was chaotic standing for hours trying to get our luggage and we missed our reassigned flight out. We got stuck in Miami and scrambling to get a flight out but nothing left available for Monday. We spent the Monday night in Miami at Hilton Inn secured for us by Royal Caribbean and scheduled to be at the airport with a flight out 5:15 am Tuesday. We were up around 1:00 or 1:30 am and at the airport about 3:00 am. We were just lucky to get out of there Tuesday as we only had a couple of options. It was stressful in that until we were able to book another flight-we actually had to book that one ourselves through Royal Caribbean in which we were given a 1-800# to call by an RC rep at the Ft. Lauderdale airport on Monday, we just spent time on the phone, just stuck at the mercy of other people, no transportation except to get a taxi. But we were tired and had supper in the hotel and then crashed once we was able to make our flight arrangements which like I said there were not many choices for Tuesday so we were very lucky. We took the earliest one we could get which left at 5:15 am that morning as we were ready to get home.
