We are first time cruisers and will be on the September 23 sailing. I just wanted to see if anybody had any "insiders tips" for this specific itinerary. Things to see, things to skip.

Is it better to arrive at the ship earlier or later to avoid crowds?

Also, as a general questions, should I pack a motion sickness medication in case one of us gets seasick or is that something readily available on the boat?

Soooooo much to see and do in Bermuda. I am one of the very few that will suggest renting a moped if you are comfortable on them. The beaches are beautiful. Check out the Bermuda forum here and look at the ship sponsered tours. kings Wharf is at the far end of Bermuda so keep that in mind. http://www.cruise-addicts.com/forums/list.php?25

Again, I am one of those that arrrives at the ship as early as possible, generally around 11:00 ish. I would rather wait in line there than at the hotel. hey, the sooner they get on the sooner my vacation starts.

I pack my own seasick meds and wrist bands. I have yet to use them. However, the meds are available on the ship.

Have a great time !!!!!!

Another tid bit of advice, take 1/2 the clothes, twice the money....

Bermuda is delightful. You will enjoy it. BUT. With 7 Cruises to Bermuda under my belt I would advise you NOT TO RENT A SCOOTER!. They drive on the left side of the road. The roads are narrow and very winding. On a scooter you spend most of your riding watching where you are going and thats not good for sight-seeing. My advise to get a public transportation pass for one or two days. You can then use the high speed catamaran to go to Hamilton and or ride any of the bus routes. Since most all bus routes end up at the terminal in Hamilton, you can take a different bus and see a different part of Bermuda. The bus's are small with big windows and air conditioned. This way you can enjoy the passing scenery in realative safety.( I say that since the Bermuda bus drivers are wild drivers!) We have always taken the Empress of the seas and the last few times cruised out of Philadelphia for a 7 day cruise with dockage in Hamilton & Georgetown.Enjoy your cruise!
