Hi. I'm from Philly. I am booked along with 4 friends. I am thrilled to be going. I do admit to being a Carnival girl for the past 8 cruises i have been on. I have only traveled RCCL once before 13 years ago for my honeymoon. Would love any feedback anyone has. Any thoughts on RCCL.

Hi phillygirl901

Glad to have you on board. This site isn't that busy. If you go to the other cruise site Cruise Cr-----s & look for the Roll Call for this cruise you will meet a few dozen people that will be cruising with us. Hope to hear from you over there.

I'm part of the No Va Gang and the Utah Connection. There are 6 of us (3 couples) Ralph (me) & Ann Marie, Rick & Sybil and Ken & Kris plus a whole other bunch from NY, NJ & PA. I am originally from NE PA and just returned from a visit there.

We've been on RCCL before an really enjoy this line. I'd say my two favorite cruise lines currently are Princess & RCCL. For the price & itineary this cruise is the best right now.

Hi, new to all of this - this will be our 11 cruise with rcl, We will be celebrating our 30 wedding ann. however, we are very nervous about this ship, especially since we have read nothing but negative reviews following each cruise. Does anyone else feel this way? Has anyone done an inside cabin before? This will also be first for us.

colby33,

Welcome - Our group will be celebrating wedding anniversaries also. Congrats on yours. Ours will be 35 years, Rick & Sybil's is 45 years and there are a few other couples celebrating also. Plus I'll be celebrating my 60 BD (along with a few others also) on the 27th ( which is also our anniversary date). Should be a 'rockin' time!! As mentioned above we have a large group communicating on another roll call site (see my last post). Check us out!! My handle on the other site is 'headusher'.

As for the negative reviews, I'm sure we'll be OK, especially since RCL knows that their passengers are concerned. Plus San Juan was reinstated which is nice, even though we did lose Tortola.

We moved exclusively to inside cabins a few year's ago when we figured out that we spend so few hours in the cabin. We usually just sleep there and are either around the pool, on an excursion, at a show, etc at other times. Why spend the extra $$ ?? We use the $$ for fun activities now. We are official "mole people" as inside cabin dwellers were called on one of our cruises. BUT if a good deal comes up for an outside cabin or balcony we won't pass it up!!! We're have a deck 10 inside cabin for this crusie.

Greetings,

My family and I will be sailing on Explorer of the Seas on April 26th, 2009. This will be our first Royal Caribbean cruise as well. It sounds like it's going to be great. The ports look awesome.

I've been looking at excursions and the hike up the dormant volcano, Mt. Liamuiga, in St. Kitts has really caught my attention. I've had a look on the Internet and Royston Stevens (who operates a tour company in St. Kitts) looks like the guy to use as a guide. If you query his name you'll find information on this fellow.

The catch is, this hike would be too much for my kids who are both under 10. My wife said she wouldn't mind taking care of the kids in town or at the beach while I head up the mountain. The information says that Royston Stevens will do small groups (apparently he's done the hike with as little as 2 people) and accommodate travel plans so I'm trying to find someone (or a group) who is going to be on the ship and wouldn't mind buddying up and going on what sounds like an awesome adventure.

Have a look and let me know if you would be interested.
