EXplorer of the Seas Balcony

Well I'm getting very excited to finally try a new cruise line but while looking at pictures of the Explorer of the Seas I noticed something interesting. The exterior of the ship is enclosed in some sort of white shell with little cubby holes cut out for the balconies. Will this in any way effect our view out of the balcony and does anyone have any pictures of what this looks like from inside the balcony?

I kinda see what you mean by the cubbie holes in the white shell.some holes that you see may be the windows on the outside decks because some parts of the decks are not exposed. The balconies are actually glass with a wooden railing. They are pretty big. Hope this helps!!! :):)

I'm afraid I haveto disagree with you K9151, or maybe you are thinking of a different ship, here is the best picture I can find of my balcony situation... anyone else have any better pictures or description of this?

Deck 6 on Explorer,Adventure and Voyager have more metal on the balconies.............if you are sitting down, you cant see straight ahead to the water.............

You need to book deck 7 or higher for less obstructed balconies.......

Deck 6

Deck 7
