has anyone seen the fantasy since its refurbishment? if anyone has is there a big difference in its appearance?

ok neko1096 i will be looking forward to hear from you about the fantasy's new look. i will not sail the fantasy until 02/22/04.

My folks just got back from the Fantasy ... the left on 10.19.03 for 4 nights ... they loved the ship ... the refurbishments look great they thought ... The colors of the rooms have changed ... the pics they have I will do my best and get them online ... but the comforters are new ... they are a grey and white stripe ...
This was there first cruise and they enjoyed themselves so much they have booked another for next year the same time ... except they are going to do a back-to-back ... 4 nights was just not enough ... they could not tell me much about the stops they made as they spent most of their time on ship ... they love to people watch and really had fun ...
We had seen remarks about the ages of those on Carnival and were a bit concerned as to this ... They did not notice any wild or out of control behavior ... of course going in October limited the number of youngsters on board ...
The food was great ... and they were very surprised when a cake was brought to their table for their anniversary ... their waiter and his assistant sang to them along with a couple of others ...
Their room steward they never saw but they know he or she had been there at least 2x a day due to the changes in the room ...
I will be joining them on their next cruise and am so excited ... wish it were today ...

I've been on the Fantasy many times and have never found it to be one of Carnival's REALLY party hearty happy holiday wild cruise ships.
I love the ship and can't wait to cruise her again with the new makeover!
This ship has a crew and staff that is as nice and friendly as the Costa Romantica had with her Italian crew. The Fantasy crew and staff really work hard to make sure you have a wonderful time.
The food is excellent, the ship is big enough that even if she's full...there's always some place to have private, quiet times. The 24 hour Pizza shop has the best pizza in the world!
It's not all smokey...even in the staterooms where previous passengers have smoked. I never saw rude inconsiderate people jamming their lifestyle down your throat either.
The Fantasy is an old girl....but she's comfortable and worth the time to spend sailing her!
I'm hoping someone will have taken some pictures of her all made over with her new refurbishing!

I do know they took out that revolving scupture and put in a piano bar in the atrium.
