I said this on Cruise mates and will say it again; it's so hard to decide, I like several, all for different reasons. I haven't sailed the Dawn but it gets mostly raving reviews.I guess my favorite is the Sun. She just sparkles, is so clean, the staff very friendly, great itienary, nice sized cabins, super dining choices and great entertainment. What more could you want? Then my mind wanders back to the Sea, originally the Seaward. The staff is the best ever, the ship is a great size and the passengers seem to always be happy. The cabins are super small, but plenty of closet and storage space. This was the first cruise with our grand daughters and now they are grown so it just has a special place in my heart. NMNita

Right now the SUN. We sailed here on her for 12 nights during her first 2 months of service in 01. We had not yet sailed the Star or Dawn but have been in most of NCL's other ships. I like freestyle and sailing a long voyage on a ship designed for it is fanastic. You can experiece the many dinning venues a leasure. No rush as in a 7 day sailing to get to the specialty restaurants.

It really depends! The Sea was our first cruise and we sailed on her several times after that, so that is special to us, but that was back in the mid-90's. The Dream was confusing because on some decks, you could not walk straight through from one end to the other because of the stretching. Otherwise, we liked our cabin, the food, etc. Again, that was in the late 90's. Most recently, we sailed on the Majesty last Christmas (W. Caribbean out of Charleston) and are doing it again this Thanksgiving week. We loved it and enjoyed the ship very much. Between the late 90's and last Christmas, we sailed several times on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. We have not sailed on the Dawn or other new NCL ships, so can't comment. Lately, we have selected cruises where we can drive and be at the port in 4.5 to 8 hours, so Charleston, Tampa, and Port Canaveral fit that bill. The Sea, Dream, and Majesty are older ships, but we have always found them to be clean, very ship-shape, with a great crew and good food. Selecting cruise ships is a very personal thing, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the NCL ships. Enjoy!

Have to admit I'm addicted to the Majesty... even before NCL bought it.. It's a smaller ship, easy to get around and a great crew. We are not fans of mega ships.. Have been on the NCL Sea (wonderful ship, also small) and NCL Sky for two weeks and in all honesty just love that Majesty.. It may be retired in a few years and I'm going to miss it. I really believe on the smaller ships the crew tries harder...

Oh my -- that's a tough one as they have different "personalities."

Of course, my favorite was SS Norway due to her history, layout, and decor. We've also been on Dreamward, Windward (both pre-stretch), Majesty (before and after stretch), Seaward (now Sea), and Leeward. Overall, we loved the Leeward, which is no longer with NCL. :( . Good cabins and great size, even though the stern was a bit odd. :)

I love Norwegian Majesty. The sitting area on Deck 5 is my favorite place. But the Dreamward and Windward were much better for sunning, with the tiered decks on top. And I love the open, sloping decks at the stern. I hear the flow on these ships have changed considerably since the stretching.

Norwegian Sea was comfy -- small cabins, small public rooms, yet lots of passengers. Still, she had a charm to her.

I guess I'll have to try them again to make a full assessment. :)
