Hi All,
I'm brand new here and brand new to cruising also. So first off - hello to everyone. These forums seem really informative and fun to read.
So...I'll be cruising with my S.O. for our first time ever on Jewel of the Seas in late April to the Eastern Caribbean. Right now we've got an E1 balcony room on deck 7 very near the back of the ship (that's aft, right? - sorry, this is new to me). The Royal Caribbean rep who helped me book the room said not to worry about the room being far from the middle of the ship - that the ride is very smooth back there. She also said this room has a larger balcony than the norm for this class of rooms. OK, that all sounds great.
Now my question...looking over the deck plans, I see this room is directly above some of the nightclub spaces on deck 6 that apparently have live music late into the night. How much noise will we hear in our cabin? My S.O. and I are both somewhat early to bed types, not late-night partiers. We'll want a quiet room, a good night's sleep, and an early rise each morning.
Should I try to get a different room? There's not a lot of choice left on this cruise.
Thanks all for any comments and advice!
