The better half and myself have booked a cruise on Carnival Elation sailing 2/25/06 from Galveston. We booked a minimum request of a 6a category cabin (ocean view). We booked through a local travel acency and when our paperwork arrived we had been upgraded to a category 11, specifically suite v27. I know this cabin has a partially obstructed view which in my mind means we do not have any view. But to us it does not matter, its a better cabin. My questions are has anyone had experience with this cabin? Will we notice movement? The movement doesn`t bother me I can sleep on a 22 foot pontoon boat, but my wife will notice it if its there.
And lastly is anyone else on this board on this cruise? If so maybe we can meet for drinks or dinner?

We have been on that ship before, but not that deck. I've found the cruise ships to be pretty stayble. I felt better on that than a 30ft fishing boat on Lake Michigan. It doesn't hurt to ask when you go to embark if there are any cabins available with an ocean view. Have fun!!!
