First time cruiser

My husband just told me he booked a cruise for us out of Galveston to Cozumel in Janaury. Never been on a cruise never really wanted to either. My cousin swears "it's the only vacation to ever take". Any input would help me, thanks.

We took our first cruise two years ago, not sure what to expect, and we're now booked for our third and fourth cruises next year. Great value, great fun, it really can't be beat. You'll have an awesome time!

What kind of specific questions do you have? I will say Cozumel is a great port. The water there is beautiful, there is an abundance of great things to do. Are you taking a 5 day or 7 day cruise?

Your cousin is correct. Cruising is a great vacation. Once you've done it, you'll be @ddicted too. :spyglass:

I completely agree with your cousin. Once you get yourselves to the port, you settle into your cabin and off you go to your detination. No driving, no staying in a different motel room every night, your room travels with you. :)

Plus you get great food and great entertainment included.

I'll cruise as often as my budget (and my DW) let me.

You will love cruisng, we took our first cruise in 1999 and just completed our 11th. As for Cozumel, you will love it, our favorite port. You will get to addicted. Do not sweat the small stuff, your are cruising.

If you take me serious, it's your problem
hehe... yeah i took my first cruise in july and am already looking at 2 more cruises in 2K10...

In my limited experience i will say that my cruise on RCCL on the EOTS was perfect.. the service was exemplary, the food was very good regardless of where you dined onboard. I cannot say for any other cruise line or ships, but you really cannot beat a cruise for easy vacationing.

Everything that has been said for ease of travel is true. The major attributes of a cruise is that they allow you to vacation at more places in a relatively short period of time. It is also a major plus that you do not have to buy gas, pay for hotel rooms, fix or find your meals(far better than fast food, or questionable qualtiy dining). Another plus is the entertainment onboard. The RCCL ships, from experience have plenty to do, and many places onboard to just simply relax. from the live bands, to the rock wall... you will never be at a loss of something to keep you entertained.

Yeah I'm hooked on cruising..... great value, great entertainment, and much relaxation.... what more could you ask for???

Welcome! We took our first cruise in 2006 and just sailed our 6th cruise last week. We are hooked.

Finding the cruise boards really helped us have wonderful cruise vacations. They prepared us for the ship and helped make perfect days in port. Ask away, we will help you all we can.
