Sorry I can't help you much with these ports. But I've sailed on the Spiirit last year on an Alaskan cruise. You're going to enjoy the ship, it has by far the most unique decor of any cruise ship sailing in North American waters. The decor is Asian, from the keel to the masthead.
On your at sea days, I suggest strolling the ship. There's much Asian art on display. Ride each eleverator bank to the top, and take the stairways down, stopping at each half floor and pretake in some fine Asian art. Don't miss the Bridge Observatory under the Galaxy of the Stars. Not many cruise ships will let you watch the watches work on the ship's bridge. There will be a surprise waiting for those who do, a magnificient dragon is on display.
Then stroll the Promenade Deck. Again, you'll find Asian art on display near the restaurants. Talking about restaurants, the highest restaurant on this ship is called the Bier Garten. On clear, sunny afternnons, enjoy some brauts with your beer. Or stroll to the aft end of the ship on clear, sunny afternoons and enjoy some freshly grilled burgers or hot dogs. And you've also got to try out the fish & chips served on at sea days at the Blue Lagoon, I suggest doing this on a cloudy, rainy at sea day.
There's plenty of speciality restaurants to eat dinner at, if the main restaurants menu that night doesn't appeal to you.. The Le Bristo is greatly acclaimed for its filets, and chocolate fondues.
The tips I suggest for cruising the Caribbean are:
(1) Always expect the unexpected. The best laid out cruise often goes astray. Roll with the punches.
(2) Pack some binoculars, as any sights you might see are often too far way to be appreciated without them.
(3) Pack some bug spray containing Deet. Mosquitoes and sand fleas are present year round this far south.
(4) Take advantage of the mid cruise special on laundry services. If you do, you only have to pack clothes for half the cruise. Packing light means more space is available in your staeroom, and much less hassle toting the baggages around. Keep a close eye on your Freestyle Daily to cash in on this deal.
(5) Read your Freestyle Daily religously every night before going to sleep to schedule your activities tomorrow. Otherwise, you might miss something you will regret missing later.
Enjoy your cruise.
