First time questions on RC

Okay so I am a previous cruiser who enjoyed Carnival cruises for their economical vacations. Recently a group of my friends organized a group of us to cruise and convinced me to try RC. It was a great deal, but reading some of these posts I'm slightly nervous hearing about closed pools and lots of construction. My other question is about the drinking age. I am over21 and not by any means rowdy or a rule-breaker. My roommate, who is going with me, will be two months shy of 21 on sale date, she really isn't a big drinker, but I see that the website says they will fine her and myself (most likely since I'm her roommate) if they catch her with anything. I'm not trying to cheat the system, but I was wondering if we are really going to be thrown if I get her one glass of wine or let her have a drink of mine. I know on carnival it was not a big deal and they didn't even notice, but I was unsure if RC was much more strict on their policies.
Thanks guys

Bottom line....be responsible. :) RCI has had a lot of idiots in the past but so have other cruise lines. If you act like a jerk, so will they. What ship are you sailing? RCI offers a great product.

Majesty of the Seas...my family spoke very highly of RCI so I feel pretty confident...but just making sure :) Thanks

Just don't make an issue out of the drink. Don't order her one at dinner or they may call you on it.

I agree with sailingrose. There are ways of doing things, just be smart. Either that, or just don't try it period. Rolling the dice could ruin a nice vacation.

As for closed pools and construction, I've enever had a problem like that, other than a closed pool due to rough seas, but that doesn't happen very often. Enjoy the Majesty OTS. She is a fine ship, we have enjoyed her twice!
