First-timer going on a 20s and 30s singles cruise. What to expect? Tips and advice

I booked a singles cruise for 20s and 30s and I have no idea what to really expect. I have searched and searched for non-sponsered reviews with no success. I want to have a good time but don't want to go to a sausage fest either. Any advice or tips/hints.

well.... to begin with, what ship? , because just because you were booked on a singles cruise does not necessarily mean you will only be cruising with other singles. Is the cruise ship chartered for the event?? or was the cruise simply booked as a group event?? If it was chartered then you stand the risk of being in the midst ofa sausagefest... meaning that other amourous guys like yourself will be sitting around drinking and wondering why you booked a singles cruise.... if it issimply booked on a ship as a group then you will have better luck and will have a better time.

I understand your reason for booking a singles cruise, but seriously... you don't have to participate if you would rather just enjoy the cruise. If you want to meet a nice lady i would suggest you dress well, and definitely dress for formal night and sit at a large table. the MDR is always a great place to meet people, and perhaps you'll find a lady who has similar interests as you.

You can also hit the bars on the ship... and if they have one a disco or dance floor.... royal carribean has a pretty decent night club / disco. Ladies love to dance... so you might have luck finding one there....

And last but not least.... you can always buy one when in certain ports.. although they're a little difficult to sneak past customs nowadays...

The crusie I booked is on Valor and it is a group from one of the large singles cruise companies. Set to sail in april. They are calling it a spring break getaway. I do plan in participating in the mixers and social events. And defintely not trying to sneak one onboard, lol, not despreate for a mate or hookup, just looking for a great time without being overwhelmed by other guys, or accidently try to stike it up with a married woman.

Hey Dan, I have cruised on many singles groups. You will have a great time!! You will like it so much that you will re-book again, and again every year.

Don't choose a gal right away to have fun with as a couple because if things don't work out between you...... she will cry and talk bad about you and warn the gals to stay away from you. There is a lot of drama on the singles groups. Lots of fun gossip.

If you don't want to meet married gals then do the interview.... first ask if they have any kids.....people never deny that they have kids.... then ask if she is separated or married. Be upfront because lots of married people do cruise with the singles groups. Some of them do make it very public that they are married or have a boyfriend back home.

The singles group will provide lots of booze parties where the liquor is free.
You will get to sit at different tables every night. So run to the dinner tables so you can sit with the gals that you are attracted to.

I know the names of all the Singles groups and they are all good to cruise with. Luci

LOL... wasn't meaning you were desperate, i just wasn't sure of what information you were looking for exactly...

I think Luci has great advice.... she seems to have experience in singles cruises. Is the cruise a exclusive singles only cruise, or is it a singles cruise booked on a ship with other(possibly not single)cruisers?? That might matter a little.. it would be awkward talking to a lady and find out she's married for sure. I think if you follow Luci's advice you should be fine..

Another thing to consider... often women will take cruises with their girlfriends and leave the boys at home. Or simply cruise because they enjoy it. so i don't think you'll have a problem being out numbered by the guys..

Hi Mister D, The Singles groups can be anywhere from 100 persons to 600 persons. It would be nice if everybody was single on one cruise ship but it never happens. Luci
