First timer in Alaska

We are cruising Alaska in June and are interested in a Mendenhall river float. However I am a self confessed wimp and the idea of it turning into a white water rafting trip worries me. I also have minor mobility dificulties. How big are these rafts and how long are you on the river.? Any suggestions for similar trips would be gratefully received.

I have done the Mendenhall river float and so has my wife. My wife is handicapped and has some mobility problems and had no problems at all on the raft ride. They were very patient and good about helping her in and out of the raft. There are really only a couple sets of real rapids and they are not that bad. The rafts are a good size. If I were you I would not worry about it and go ahead and take the raft ride. The majority of the trip is taking on a pretty slow section of the river.
