The best port to take a day of fishing is Ketchikan.
Trust me I have tried them all.
I lived in Alask for many years.
Great time of year for a fishing expedition. There are two charters that I used personally. The first is first city charters, their number is 19072471643. The price I paid last year was $185.00 for 6 hours per person. This included everything even getting picked up at the ship. We had a fantastic time and caught some incredible King Salmon and Halibut.
The second and my favorite is Advanced Charters, which is part of eagle creek lodge. Their number is 1866 halibut or 19072257535. We caught an amazing amount of halibut with them. They were 205 per person for 6 hours and they too included everything.
I am trying to look up what it cost to have the fish shipped back. I will know for sure when my wife gets home, sh complained that I gave most of it away.
