Sorry, don't know about bear watching or fly fishing but we did the dogsleeding in Skagway with the ship. I think the price was about the same whether you went on your own or not, but you can try doing a search for Skagway tours or the city's website and they should have something. Or try "Skagway tourism" and you should get something there as well. We did do salmon fishing in Ketchikan (again with the ship, or took our catch from the dock and brought it to our dining room table the next night beautifully prepared!) and again I think the prices were comparable whether going it alone or with the ship.Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
