We took a fantastic helicopter-land on glacier-dog sled ride from Skagway. I booked independantly through a company called Temsco. I did it all online. It was cheaper than through RCC, but not that much. We had a wonderful experience. Very expensive, but it was the highlight of our trip.Also, bear watching in Ketchikan was fantastic. I tried to book independantly through ISLAND WINGS but they were sold out. I booked with RC excursion desk. It was fabulous. SO awesome to see the bears in there own habitat eating the running salmon. Expensive, but we will always remember it.
