We will be on the Summit on Jan31 for a ten night cruise and we know the amount of formal and informal nights but we would like to know which specific night is a formal, Informal and casual. The ship leaves on a Friday .

The reason we ask is because we have two reservations in the special resturant and we were just wondering if we will be eating there on a formal or informal night.
Helps with our packing to know.

Thanks,
BP

As we took the alternate Ultimate Caribbean which left on a Monday, I can't help you with specifics.
However, you will be most comfortable in the Normandie in a smart outfit, i.e. a suit or jacket and tie for men and nice dress or suit for ladies. I managed to reduce my packing list by wearing the same outfit on 2 evenings (unheard of, I know!) We wore the same things in the Normandie and the main dining room on different nights.

If you do dine in there on a formal night you will of course need to follow that code. Some diners wore formal on in the Normandie on an otherwise casual night, but they stood out a bit after dinner.

Finally, may I say that I envy you. The 2 meals that we ate there were the best I have ever had. We live about 12 miles from Michel Roux's restaurant at Bray in southern England but could never afford to eat there. About $200 per head without wine!

We sailed 10 day Summit, Eastern Carribean on Friday October 18th, 02.
Formal nights were Saturday (2nd day), Wednesday (6th day), and Saturday (9th day).
Informal was Monday (4th day), Thursday (7th day). The rest were Casual.
I saved each daily newsletter, plus the menu from The Normandie, and assorted other stuff. Ask if you have any questions.....Happy Cruisin'....You will love it..

Hi BP,

We will be on the same cruise as you. We're 2 couples from Texas in our early to middle fifties. It will be in the 20's for the next few nights, which is very unusual for our part of Texas, so we really can't wait for the warm Carribbean!! Can't wait for the cruise & hope to meet you there.

Hi. My wife and I did a 10 day in November on the Summit. If I recall, we left on Friday so the formal nights were Saturday, Tuesday, and Saturday. Two informal nights (Jacket but no tie), and 5 casual nights( golf shirt, slacks).
You will love the Summit. Great food in the Normandie and the regular diningroom.
Great service, beautiful ship.
Have a great time. We are jealous.
