I would recommend dressing up if U wish as we love to do it and did it on the NCL Star cruise in April of 2002. The only negative comment I have is that unfortunatly with Frestyle Dining U may VERY well be seated with some who do dress up and others who do NOT. It does cause a bit of an uneasiness especially for those that did NOT dress up. The major problem I had with it was that NCL stated in ALL their publications and even in the daily papers onboard the ship that the Main dinigroom would be used for formal dining and therefore IMO it would been in their best interest to kee p it for ONLY formal dining. If they wished NOT to follow their own protocol then they should jus tof stated from the bginning that there were NO formal nights. Just my =twocents worth..
