Trying another cruise with Carnival, DH and I went with my Parents a couple of years ago and it was a 50/50 trip =huh . We look back on it and it probably wasn't too bad, seeing as how we are now taking our kids on a trip on the Conquest next July. You guys on the board were very very helpful with the last one.. so I was hoping to maybe get some help again!! :help

Does anyone know when the formal nights are on the Conquest going out of galveston? We want our kids to experience at least one formal night but the expense of buying everyone's dresses and such we can only afford to buy one set after the cost of the cruise and excursions. Would like to do the formal night at sea, but is there one???? Any advice would really help us out. Thank you in advance!!!:)-D :)D

There are two formal nights. The first is Monday night and second is either Thursday or Friday, I think Thursday. People do dress up pretty well too so plan on it.

the first formal night is the dressiest of the both of them. I wear the same stuff the second night.
Got off the Liberty in February and people did not dress up as much as in past cruises on either night.

I wouldnt buy new stuff for formal nights-- what you wear to church or a nice outting is fine. Kids can get by without a suit-- a shirt and tie would be just as good

I agree with the above poster.

We just got off the Conquest in June and the formal nights were not all that formal. The men wore suits and ties and the ladies wore dresses or nice pantsuits. There were many people who wore the same outfits on both formal nights.

We all chose at least somewhat coordinating outfits. My mom loves to have family portraits taken and I have to say our portraits from the formal nights turned out great.
